Reviews » RubricFirst Impression/Splash [5/5]: Does your site make me go, " Wow. This site seems really neat"? Or does it make me suddenly want to go on a bathroom break? A good first impression can make the rest of a person's visit to your site an enjoyable one. If you have a splash, it shouldn't be too cluttered with your fanlistings/cliques/etc. Your splash should be neat and organized. If you do not have a splash, the first impression will be based on the first page I see. o.o Loading Time [10/10]: This is really important, as people tend to rather click on the [X] in the corner instead of waiting for your site to finish loading.. If you have a big picture in your layout, try diving it into a couple of smaller ones. Layout [10/10]: Do the colors match? Do they clash? Is your layout just a wallpaper with text on it? You don't have to kill it with the brushes, but show that you have a graphics program other than MS Paint. Navigation [10/10]: Is your navigation easy to find and use? DO you have a navigation? Content [25/25]: Your content should be interesting to read and should not be littered with curse words every other sentence. Never, never, never, NEVER wRiTe LiKe tHiS! If you have some character profiles, make sure your information is accurate. Give credit where credit is due. An occasional smilie (-_-;;) is okay, but don't use them everywhere. Make sure you don't stray too far off from your topic. Only include content that has to do with your theme! Spelling/Grammar [5/5]: Your spelling and grammar should be understandable. If you're not sure how to spell a word, check the dictionary! Broken Links [5/5]: Broken links are extremely annoying and frustrating. Don't have too many. Don't have any "Under Construction" pages either. If you aren't done with a page, don't put it up!! Final Impression [10/10]: To get the full 10 points, your site has to make me want to visit it again. Be unique, have something that everybody else doesn't have. Your site should stand out and overall, make my visit a pleasant one. Link To Us [+1/0]: Did you link to us? You were supposed to. If you did, you get a free point! (So it's impossible to get a 0.) |
