PrimrosePrimrose is a fairy tale about a poor girl and a prince who fell in love. Typical, right? Not quite... Unlike your regular, run-of-the-mill fairy tale dames that sit there and wait for their Prince to come, Primrose is different. But unlike your other modern Disney twists where the princesses are all hardcore, Primrose still has a delicacy that attracts me. She is a proper lady who can support herself and still chase after her dreams. She isn't arrogant. And the prince is...well, he acts like a REAL prince probably would. :D It is these characters and their personalities that drew me in to the story the first time. To be truthful, almost no one has heard of the story Primrose before. It is not on the internet and the story I have in my collection is only a few paragraphs long. In my version, I have added new characters, new plots and backstories, and more detailed dialogues. In other words, the story is pretty much reinvented! I wanted to get the manga finished in time for the Tokyopop Rising Stars of Manga competition, but I soon realized that the story was too complicated to finish in only 20 pages. Therefore, please stay with me with what seems like may be a very long story..! |
